Conforming fails. The last thing we need is more of the same things that are already broken. History and heritage are only useful to learn from past mistakes, not repeat them.
Why Transformissionary?
Because we all need to change, but...
Reforming fails. A fresh coat of paint on a car with a bad engine doesn't fix the car. Fresh social and political coats of paint don't really help people.
The true need is to transform. True change only occurs when hearts are made new through the power and the promise of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Then authentic mission happens. People whose hearts are transformed by Jesus take that message of hope and renewal to a lost, hurt, and dying world.
